Botox is successfully used to treat certain neurological conditions, most commonly chronic migraine headaches. Our doctors also use Botox to treat tilted neck (torticollis or cervical dystonia), chronic neck or back pain, facial twitches, and limb spasticity.
Trigger Point and Nerve Block Injections
Trigger point injection is used to treat pain in some patients. This injection treats painful areas of muscle that contain knots that form when muscles do not relax. These knots may irritate the nerves around them and cause referred pain, or pain that is felt in another part of the body.
Nerve blocks are also used for pain treatment. In these instances, a group of nerves that causes pain to a specific organ or body region can be blocked with the injection of nerve-numbing medication into a specific area of the body.
