Electroencephalography (EEG)

Electroencephalography, or EEG monitoring for short, records electrical activity of the brain.   This is a noninvasive test which uses electrodes placed along the scalp. EEG monitoring is most often used to diagnose epilepsy, but can also be used to diagnose other disorders such as sleep disorders.  This monitoring is performed in our office and takes 1 hour to complete. For patients who require more advanced monitoring, we offer 24 hour continuous monitoring with a small device which is worn by the patient and brought home from their visit. Link to EEG Form.
